Hello! We use both PaaS and Events with Salesforce integration, and currently have the system set to create an Opportunity for each C&P Transaction, no matter what. However, this has led to some repetition in the Events-related data because...
1. Joe Smith registers for an Event
2. His Contact record shows a C&P Registered Attendee record for his registration.
3. His Contact record shows an Opportunity for his registration.
We're happy with steps 1-2, but step 3 is repetitive for donations. Is there a way for us to prevent Salesforce from doing step 3?
My only workaround idea at this point is to use C&P Settings to map all Events Registration Level SKUs to a special "Event Registration" Opportunity record type, and then manually delete all of those records every once in a while. However, this is not practical and creates more work for us.
Any tips are appreciated!
