Opportunity Settlement - Multiple payments?

Can we use Oppt settlements to make multiple payments on an opportunity? It looks like it might only work for a single payment scenario. And if not is there possibilities of getting multiple payments in future releases?

Good day @Franklin,

No- multiple payments to a single opportunity is not possible at this time since each item creates an opportunity. We have thought about this a lot and can't quite agree on how to break a single opportunity into multiple.

The invoice feature coming in release 8.0 is also for single payment for an invoice.
