  • New user - Salesforce not seeing C&P transactions

    Hi,

I am new non-profit customer of C&P and working to setup SalesForce integration with their NPSP. I am currently using a trial version, but I have been using the production as opposed to sandbox. I have run through all the documents about the post installation procedures and I believe it is all set up correctly. I have put in the credentials for SF in C&P 3rd party and they verified correctly. I installed all the C&P apps in SF and they show up in SF under the all tabs area. I configured the SF C&P Account, under C&P Settings with all the C&P credentials. I have run two test transactions and they seemed to process correctly and show up under C&P reports and emails were sent out to me by the system. The D&P Data is blank.

I am not sure where to go from here.

    Thank you,

    Clay

    Good day @Clay:

I reviewed your account and see that 2 transactions were posted yesterday using the TEST card ending in 1111 at 10 p.m. and 2 p.m. respectively.

These transactions were posted successfully to Salesforce and should be in the C&P Data so we should figure out why you are not seeing them.

I am sure you have set the view to Newly Created and not to Recently Viewed?

        Good day @Clay:

Great to see that it was a simple fix.

Since you are just starting it may help if you see the following post: http://forums.clickandpledge.com/content.php?r=341-Customize-Contact-Creation

It is important that you set your contact creation and follow the C&P Temporary Contact. You may also want to create notifications so you know when a Temporary Contact has been created - if you are using the recommended Semi-automatic mode:

        Notification KB article: http://forums.clickandpledge.com/content.php?r=405-Notification-for-Temporary-Contact-Creation

There are a lot of videos & KB articles at: http://forums.clickandpledge.com/content.php?r=184-salesforce-donor-management

Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Another question. When I go into SF and look at contacts, the donation information is not showing up in the SF Donation area of Contact Details. It is only listed further down below in the C&P Transaction details. How do I get it to populate in SF contact details where it has Donation Totals, Household Donations, etc. I understand this may be a SF question.

Another question, how do I import PayPal transaction history in a .csv file. Do I do that through C&P or SF?

          Thank you.

            Good day @Clay Churchill:

It is best if you open a new thread when you have a new question. It will help with managing the topic.

May I ask what you mean by "donation" - Click & Pledge payments are posted as "C&P Transaction" and each item in the transaction creates an Opportunity.

As for Importing from PayPal you should use Salesforce for importing. We have an importer for transactions from inside Click & Pledge but not from other sources.

Please let me know if we can be of any further assistance.
