Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, the VT is now showing up for that user. Thanks!

Good day!
One of our developers reviewed your profile and realized that you have not given access to the Visualforce pages. She can't check the profile since she does not have access to a user with that profile.
Would you please check the profile and see if the Virtual Terminal is working? We don't want to create a user to test since we won't be able to delete the user and it will always hang around your account.
Let me know what you find out.

Good day @baverill,
We have all the info we need. One of our developers will review this issue and we will (hopefully) come back with some suggestions.

I just granted access. Do you need anything else from me at the moment?

Good day @baverill,
If you want we can login to your account and verify the profile. Simply grant us access to the account & give us 24 hours to review the profile. We may be able to solve your problem.
Let me know if you wish for us to review your settings.

Yes, you understood my question correctly. I was hoping to be able to basically allow a volunteer to use the Virtual Terminal to process donations at an upcoming event without gaining access to other data. I suppose I'll just hide all other tabs.
I've checked the "Modify All Data" box under Administrative Permissions, Standard Object Permissions, and Custom Object Permissions, but still can't seem to get access to the VT through Salesforce.

Good day!
Based on your email I am assuming that you are modifying the permissions and are wondering how you can have the virtual terminal show up with the new permissions. Is this correct?
For the VT to work the page needs to have modify all data permission and it is quite elaborate since there is a lot of data that needs to travel into a lot of objects.
If I am not understanding your question please elaborate further so we can figure out how to best help you.
The C&P side has nothing to do with permissions in Salesforce. The VT setting in the User profile in the portal is ONLY for release 3.0 which is no longer supported and soon will be removed. The version 7 is total in Salesforce and native whereas the version 3.0 was an iframe in Click & Pledge and as such we could control its viewing. In release 4.0+ the virtual terminal was moved to Salesforce and all permissions are set in Salesforce.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.

User Permissions for Virtual Terminal Only
I'm working to set up a volunteer account that can only use the Virtual Terminal in Salesforce and see nothing else. I've created the same user account in Click and Pledge as well, but every time I try to access that tab in Salesforce, it locks me out telling me to contact the administrator. I'm guessing that my solution lies in clicking a few boxes in the Volunteer user profile, but I'm not sure which are required. Can someone please help?
On the C&P side I have clicked the "Process credit cards" and "Virtual Terminal..." boxes for the volunteer account.Last edited by baverill; 06-24-2013, 10:27 AM.Tags: None
