Virtual Terminal mapping to Opportunity > Payment > Payment Method

Hi C&P

I would love to see C&P transaction Payment Method map across to Opportunity > Payment > Payment Method. Is this in the C&P functionality?

I am not sure what you mean by:

Opportunity > Payment > Payment Method

Are you referring to the "Payment" object for the NPSP or adding the payment method to the Opportunity object?

I am also interested in having the amount and payment method from the V&P Virtual terminal update the payment object in SFDC.
Currently, when an opportunity is created, a payment record is created for the amount of the opportunity
Oppty amount- $900
Payment record for $900- shows unpaid

When a payment is made against this opportunity via the Virtual Terminal - Is there anyway to update the payment method, and amount paid on the NPSP payment object?

This feature will be in release 8.0 as it has already been discussed with the NPSP team and we are adding it to our implementation.

Will release more information about an ETA when we are closer to the release.
