  • Unable to Process Temporary Contacts

    I currently have 15 temporary contacts that I cannot process. The section underneath settings is blank so I can neither make a new contact, nor match to a current contact.

    Additionally, every one of the temporary contacts that I cannot approve are recurring donations that are on their 2nd installment whose contact details were edited after the first installment.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Good day!

    What version of the PaaS are you using? There was an issue with recurring transactions whose master transaction was missing in the older release that was fixed in the latest release.

      I am using 7.2000. I was not aware of the release of 7.2003. After installing it fixed the issue!

          "Process Master Transaction" error in S&F for C&P Temporary Contact

          I am receiving the following error in Salesforce C&P Temporary Transactions when I select a valid Contact from the list:

          This transaction is for a recurring payment that was established in Click and Pledge prior to our setting up our Salesforce Org. How do I resolve this issue?

            Good day @martha3:

            What version of PaaS are you currently using? This issue was present in older version & only happens when a recurring transaction does not have its master transaction present. In this case our app does not know to which chain of transactions it should post this transaction.

            Once you upload you will have this issue resolved. Let me know what version you have so we can move forward.

              Hi there! Thank you for the quick reply.

              According to my Salesforce instance I am using the following version of Recurring Payments (Managed) which I downloaded from the app exchange in March 2013:

              Package Name Recurring Donations
              Version Name 2.0.12

              Is the the information you are requesting?

                  Oops! Very sorry about that. Thank you for this information. It looks like I do have an older version which is:

                  7.2000 CnP_PaaS

                    Dear Support,

                    I was able to locate the more current packages and have installed them (please see below).

                    However, I am still receiving the same message when I attempt to process a Temporary Contact's transaction by associating it with a valid Contact (please see below error message). Again, the original recurring transaction in Click and Pledge was set up prior to setting up our Salesforce Org. I do not have the problem with recurring donations that were set up prior to setting up our Salesforce Org where the matching criteria (First Name and Last Name) match. Those seem to flow perfectly.

                      Please verify that this contact is not already in the Temporary Contact. Is there another record in the Temporary Contact for this transaction? This error occurs when the master transaction is pending and is not yet processed.

                      Is this the only Temporary Contact with the error & are there any other Transactions pending for the same contact?

                        ANSWER: I have multiple transactions for the same contact listed in "C&P Temporary Contact"

                        "Is there another record in the Temporary Contact for this transaction?"
                        ANSWER: There are multiple transactions with unique Order Numbers but all have the same Master Transaction Number.

                        "This error occurs when the master transaction is pending and is not yet processed."
                        ANSWER: How do I process the Master Transaction? I cannot find anything in any of the documentation or on any of the forums.

                          Good day @martha3:

                          Try the following and if you still have issues please grant us access and we will fix it for you. The fix is easy.

                          Simply try to convert any of the Temporary Contact until one works. The one that works (earliest transaction date) is the master. After the first transaction all the other ones will work.

                          You should be able to do this quickly.

                            Unfortunately this didn't work. I tried all of the transactions and none of them will process and have the same problem.
