  • C&P Importer Failure

    I've got my .csv file, but when I go to import it I get - "Warning: Please select correct format file", and it won't import.

    Good day!

    Are you referring to the import for the Virtual Terminal or the data from the Click & Pledge portal into Salesforce?

        April,

        That is used for importing data from Click & Pledge's administrative portal. The format is based on the export file generated in the portal. Are you exporting data from the Portal and it is not working?

        Sorry I just want to make sure I know what you are doing. We have had people in the past creating their own files and wanting to import it using the importer which will not work. That function is designed to help with importing historical data from the Click & Pledge portal into Salesforce as shown below:

            April,

            Sorry to ask but are you unzipping the files first?

            The output is a Zip file - it needs to be unzipped and each file should be uploaded individually. Are you uploading the Zip file or the unzipped files?

              It's a tiny file, just a few donations. It wasn't zipped.

                By way of clarification:
                We had a security token change on the login CnP uses on 3/25/2013.
                Some donations did not import as a result.
                I contacted support about those donations and received instruction from Abdul [CC-SF#TS]
                I followed the instructions - which were as outlined in this thread.
                I exported and saved the file as .csv.
                I opened the new importer tool (7.2 version - just upgraded)
                It is giving me the error message s referenced in my first post.

                I'm not sure what I could be doing wrong....

                  April,

                  We reviewed the sample file you had sent and we are sure you are not downloading the right report.

                  The data format should show like the following:

                  {{OrderNumber}} {{TotalCharged}} {{TotalDue}}
                  {{CNP:1303112337472993179}} {{2.0000}} {{2.0000}}
                  {{CNP:1303112342459853179}} {{2.0000}} {{2.0000}}
                  {{CNP:1303112344355843179}} {{2.0000}} {{2.0000}}
                  The data should have brackets around each entry.

                  The output file is also a zip file and not a regular .csv file. Once you download the zip file please unzip if and upload each individual .csv file.

                  Please review and let me know if this fixes the issue.
                  Regards,
