For my organization it is important that the autoresponder is sent from the organization's name. Therefore, I'm attempting to setup the autoresponder using our smtp. I've successfully sent an autoresponder through salesforce, however, when I change the smtp sender to the account I setup, it doesn't send an autoresponder at all.

Good day!
I just tested the SMTP with GMail and another local SMTP server and it worked fine.
Are you sure your SMTP setting is correct? Have you tested the SMTP outside Salesforce? We may have to get information for your account and login to test it.
