  • Custom Question Empty Pick List value

    It would be great if I can create an empty pick list value that I can make the default option. If people don't select a populated value, it would then prompt them to select one. Right now, I can only select an existing value as default, or don't select any and the first option will be selected. This has resulted in people not going through the list and selecting the right option for them.

    Please let me know if this is already possible!

    Hermen Felten ,

    the New Ideas & Suggestions group does not specify which C&P product a post is concerning. Which product are you using?

        I did test our picklist, and checked the Mandatory field that should make the field required;

        and I see your point. 'Mandatory' appears to mean only that a value must be passed for the question, but if the value is just the one that happens to be displayed when the form is filled out, that's not exactly helpful, is it?

        I'll discuss with our team, and let you know if this can be updated in a future release.

          That's exactly what I mean, thank you for drawing it out. In your example, when I try to add a third option with a blank value (and have it 'Selected'), the system deletes this option when I hit save.
