We recently set up a recurring payment using the virtual terminal in salesforce. We set it up with 999 installments to make the payments indefinite. Where we wanted each payment to be $100, we found that c&p charged the credit card just $0.10, i.e. $100/999. Is that the way it's meant to work? It seems confusing this way, as I think most people think in terms of the monthly amount they'd be paying, not the total amount over the term. And, it's even more confusing with the 999 feature, as of course no one intends to donate something like $99,900 over 999 months or years.

Good day!
There are 2 methods of recurring:- Installment: Pay $1000 over 10 months: resulting in $100/month
- Subscription: Pay $30 every month for 10 months
Hope that makes sense. Please review the transaction and see if it was made as subscription or installment. You can see this in the Recurring Payment details for the transaction if you click on Recurring payment tab. See below:

Good day!
Just want to make sure this issue is addressed for future reference.
The 999 is handled consistently across both methods of Subscription & Installment. If 999 is the period then the receipt will reflect a special message asking the patron to contact the organization for cancellation. It will also not list the total amount owed.Regards,
