The SMS autoresponder will match to an existing Contact based on phone number. However, if the phone number saved for the Contact is in the standard SF format (124) 456-7890, the C&P autoresponder doesn't recognize the number and creates a lead based on the phone number. It is actually not easy to find and convert these leads (you can only merge Leads to existing Contacts if they have the same Account). The autoresponder will match the Contact if the phone number is in the format +1234567890 (you have to add the "+" in Salesforce to prevent the number being put in the standard format). However, it is not practical to edit all Contacts to have this format, and it is more difficult for Users to use this format with contacts. The autoresponder already ignores the leading "+" in the phone number; could it ignore the "()" and spaces? Thank you,
