Special Characters in Salesforce Campaigns for Connect Widgets

Some of our branding includes "!" in the name. As such, many of Salesforce Campaigns include this character.

While creating a Connect Widget for donations, I received an error message stating that "Special Characters are not allowed". Connect will not allow me to use only the Campaign ID to bypass this situation. Please address this so that I don't need to rename all of our Campaigns, which would be contrary to our branding.

We will review this - the reason for the blocking of these characters is not something we really want to do but a Salesforce limitation in the way it parses the XML that we post. A lot of characters cause an error when they are posted in the XML of C&P Data.

We will test this character and see how Salesforce handles it.

New ideas are placed in the queue for consideration. This request is not a bug fix & not an issue, so it was placed in the queue for compatibility check with all integrated applications.

The update to add this flexibility was added to yesterday's release and should be in production.
