Regular receipts and Transaction Detail Receipts should show the same information

  • Regular receipts and Transaction Detail Receipts should show the same information


    On regular occasions, I print out receipts from the C&P website. However, these receipts get rid of recurring information and card type information. I can't really see why these two small, yet important, pieces of data would be removed when the rest of the receipt seems to be the same. Please make the transaction detail receipts and the regular receipts the same. Also, when recurring payments are made, the card type is removed as well.

    I am not sure I follow as to why you are printing the web site? You should get a receipt via email and a PDF document as attachment. The email receipt has all the information needed. I will review your suggestion and if needed we will make the adjustment. I have never heard of a print issue since the email is completely detailed.

      Is this difficult to fix? My reasons for why I use the click & pledge website shouldn't matter, but if you must know, our server has been switched to a virtual server and it keeps breaking. My email is not always accessible and the email address that we set up for notifications got deleted by our IT company.

      The fact is, Click & Pledge has a feature to print a receipt from the online database. When Click & Pledge was created, you guys must have thought it was somewhat important, because you made it an option. However, there are things missing from the Transaction Detail Receipt. Either you forgot to put those fields in or you left them out intentionally. If you did it intentionally and you have a good reason for it, please let me know what that reason is. If you forgot to put those fields in, then please fix it. If it can't be fixed, then please tell me why it can't be fixed. If you don't want anyone using the transaction detail receipts, then remove them as an option in your system.

      I'm just looking for an answer. I would much rather know that I can easily get the information I need from the source as opposed to relying on emails. Please be direct when you answer my question.

        I replied already, but it kicked me out when I tried to send the reply. Here is the gist of it:
        The reason why I print from the website does not matter.
        Click and pledge created the Transaction Detail Receipt so it must be a feature that you thought was somewhat important. However, there are fields missing from the receipt. Either you forgot to add the fields or you did it intentionally. If you did it intentionally, please tell me why. If you did not, please fix it. If it cannot be fixed, please tell me why it cannot be fixed. If you don't want people to use the Transaction Detail Receipt, then please remove it as an option.

          Good day..

          I spoke with our support department and realized you are referring to the PDF receipt and not the web receipt. Only the catalog page shows a copy of the receipt as HTML and that shows all the info so that is why I was confused as to what you are referring to.

          The PDF does not have the recurring and we will fix it. It is not something I am trying to avoid or not be direct. If you had simply stated the PDF copy of the receipt does not have the recurring info I would have answered it quickly

          We will fix this soon.. we are aware of it & have scheduled it in the next update to the portal. We are currently making sure that the mobile sites are launched and that product has occupied a lot of our attention. In the middle of the release cycle we will do an update to the portal. Sorry for the inconvenience.

            Good day..

            We just released an update that fixes the PDF receipt attachment. Now the recurring information will be included in all PDF attachments moving forward. The existing receipts cannot be fixed since they are simply the same receipts that were emailed and are stored in the database exactly as they were sent. All future receipts will include the information.

            This change has been made to the payment checkout pages and the API. We are currently working on adding the update to the transactions done in the virtual terminal in the administrative portal. This fix will take a bit longer since the code is now being updated for the mobile payment and creating a fork in the source code is always a bit more time consuming. We may have an update for the VT by Friday (if not earlier).
