Recurring Transaction Edits

Is there a way to update the amount of a recurring transaction? Even better, I'd love for donors to be able to manage their own account (update contact, cancel and edit recurring transactions). Our previous vendor allowed this option and it was so much better.

The amount cannot be updated as that will change the forecasting and reports for recurring.

You may easily cancel the recurring and set up a new recurring using the card on file. The information that may be changed for a recurring are credit card number, email, and

The same task may be performed in Connect.

We will not add the amount to be changed, given its consequences in Salesforce and reports but we are working on a portal so donors can change the information. This feature will be on our platform & not in Salesforce as it will become a competing product with Salesforce communities.

No- at this time we are not planning to do this. This creates a lot of complications in Salesforce. One can easily change an amount in a database but in Salesforce it will break the chain and problem with totals, etc.

It is the best to cancel a recurring and start a new one using the card on file. Anything else is really not as clean.
