WooCommerce Integration

It looks like WooCommerce is rapidly gaining in popularity as a free, quality online storefront system. Many wordpress templates now have it available, pre-installed. Click and Pledge being available on that platform would be awesome.

So many products and not enough time!

Sure.. we will review the platform and include it in our development queue.

We just released Drupal eCommerce because the clients were saying it is the best shopping cart out there and world will stop if we don't integrate. Needless to say only one client is using it. I guess the world has stopped.. please check!

Upon inspection, I noticed that the world has not stopped. (Having an office overlooking a main road helped with the inspection as cars were still moving.) As for the many products, you know, clearly if I'm thinking about using a platform it must mean that everyone wants it. Naturally, anything that any Click and Pledge user wants must be what the masses are clamoring for.

Through the process of researching templates for a non-profit website that has an online store, WooCommerce appears to be pretty much the only checkout page system that comes pre-installed on the templates that I've been the most interested in. I also noticed that on the WooCommerce forum there were a few requests on their end by other people for Click and Pledge integration which is why it sparked my interest. Thanks for adding it to the queue.

The installation was incredibly easy! I couldn't not believe how simple that was. As I haven't had a checkout system available, I had not purchased the SSL certificate for my website yet, so I tested it in "test mode". Overall, I'm extremely impressed with both the WooCommerce platform in testing, and also in how simple and well the Click and Pledge integration worked. The test transactions processed flawlessly, and fully integrated with Salesforce account. A couple things I did notice:
Typo1: In the Click & Pledge Gateway settings area the recurring sentence doesn't make sense.

Maybe make it: Allow Recurring? - This will enable recurring payments for transactions.


Typo 2: On the order confirmation page, there is a space between in and definite and there shouldn't be.


Also - in general, the monthly subscription/donation model for this is a little awkward as if someone is buying a specific product, having the option to pay for it monthly doesn't really make sense on most products. Monthly really only makes sense for donations, or perhaps purchasing a subscription service (which would then need to have it required technically). For donations it's a little difficult because at this time WooCommerce doesn't allow a user to select a custom amount so you would have to list donations as products, but could be done I guess. I understand that your hands are probably pretty tied when it comes to anything beyond fixing typos, but it was just some random thoughts I had in this process.

Overall - works great, looks great, was crazy easy, and am excited to roll this out as soon as I finish building this new website!

Thanks for pointing out the typos- they will be fixed immediately.

I think we should allow for both Subscription & Installment model for recurring. The installment model makes more sense since that allows for paying for the purchase in installments.

We will make the changes prior to the release.

Thank you for being the unheard of heroes that the world needs. I assure you, we are all better for it. Though... in the grand scheme of things, building a shopping cart integration is a small price to play to prevent Armageddon. Regardless, we are all in your debt!

The integration is still being tested and we will make updates if we find any issues. For now this is the final beta prior to the release.
