Make the Swiper work for CiviCRM also.

Can you work with the CiviCRM API to make information from a Swiper transaction feed into CiviCRM the way it now feeds into Salesforce?

We have explored CiviCRM a great deal but the issue is CiviCRM is not a cloud environment and requires a lot of custom programming. Each instance is behind a different type of environment, ports, etc. and trying to come up with an easy system that anyone can install will be quite hard.

Before moving to Salesforce we actually tried CiviCRM and for a period I was glad to see the movement to the cloud installation of CiviCRM but it was abandoned by the project.

How do you foresee such an integration work considering the variations in the installation and expertise level of those working in that environment?
