  • Swiper1 for Auction/Bidding Style Event?

    Hello,

Our organization hosts a fundraiser that is a paddle raise/auction style event. I was wondering if the Swiper1 could be utilized in this way? We have a check in process where, in the past (using Greater Giving card readers) we would swipe a donor's credit card and link it to their paddle/bidder number. Then the event goes on, we collect which amount to charge which donor and then process the credit card charges the next day.

Is this possible with Swiper1 or is card information unable to be stored?

Any help with this is greatly appreciated!

    Good day kkohrs

Sure.. Swiper1 can help with this. We have a feature called pre-authorization which tokenizes the card and later, using Salesforce, Swiper1, or CONNECT you can charge that card again using the virtual terminal.

    Hope that helps.

Great, thank you! One more question here actually, would it be possible to have multiple Swiper1 devices (so we can have multiple people at check-in) that all link back to just one iPad/tablet?

We normally have ~4 volunteers at our check-in and we'd prefer not to make them use their personal devices/multiple devices as the bluetooth receiver of the Swiper1 information and instead use our organization's tablet for this.

Thank you for the fast reply!

        Good day!

Please see all articles related to Swiper1: https://support.clickandpledge.com/s...46dWAC/swiper1

Now the answer to your question:

Swiper1 tokens are not synced across Swiper1 devices but they are all posted to Salesforce and CONNECT. The challenge for full synchronization is the storage requirement for large events on one device.

        Hope that helps.
