  • Swiper1 Categories not working with latest update

    We updated our tablets and phones with the new release 9.001.10 and now our categories aren’t available. We can see them and select them in settings/store manager, but when you go home then to “new transactions” they aren’t available. Please help. We have an event coming up at the end of March and they need to work!

    Sorry for the inconvenience. We are unable to replicate the above issue you reported. However, if you please provide the following information, would help us to find out what's going on:
    • On which device you are facing the above issue, iPhone tablets OR Android tablets? please share the device details.
    • Please make sure that you have checked the radio button as shown in the below image: Settings >> Store Manager:

      The issue is on both IOS and Android. We can see what you show in the picture. But once we return to the home screen to process a transaction, the green tab disappears and we can only see items from 1 category.

      I would send screenshots but your forum will not allow it me to upload - i'm getting this error message "Upload failed due to your usergroup's upload quota. This file will require 692.9 KB but you only have 3.5 KB of 976.6 KB remaining.".

        Good day @KMartin

        There are checkboxes for categories as well. Would you please make sure that you have checked that box for all the categories under Settings >> Store Manager >> Add Categories?

          The boxes for the categories are checked. Now it is showing 2 categories even though multiple are checked off. Since I can't send pictures I uploaded a screen recording so you can see what is happening... https://vimeo.com/323291783

            We are investigating the case and will update you once we are able to find out what's going on. However, please also review the items prices start date and end date under those categories because if the item price end date expired, it won't appear on the home screen.

              The dates were not expired. The latest update released March 15 has corrected the issue. Thank you.

                We are having a similar problem - though we can't even create categories (and therefore we can't create items). Would like to use it this weekend/tomorrow, but it's looking like that's not an option now? (using iPhone with iOS 12.2)

                  Jillian, could you provide the account number you are representing on this case? They would like to log into the account.

                  They are also requesting that you uninstall Swiper1 and and reinstall from iTunes to see if the issue remains.

                    We have tested the Category issue in version 9.001.014 in iOS, and are not experiencing the same issue, so we are waiting to hear back from you about the account number.

                      I tried the uninstall and reinstall and that didn't seem to help. However - I restored a backup from another user that had created items, and now I can create them as well. I don't think this needs any further investigation at this point.
