  • Not connecting bluetooth to Apple iPhone 6 S

I have followed the guidelines for connecting.

    1. I put the bluetooth Swiper into pairing mode (right light is blinking green)
    2. I attempting to connect iPhone bluetooth (Swiper1-A-200217 shows as choice. Tapping it I get "Pairing Unsuccessful - Swiper1-A-200217 is not supported"
    3. So I got to Swiper1 software and enter Device Manager
    4. I select Swiper1-Bluetooth. I get "Please connect Swiper1 Bluetooth and try again" ( I am still in pairing mode at this point)

    So frustrating

    Good day jeffmcguire11

Sorry for your trouble. The Swiper1 actually pairs quite easily but you should NOT use the mobile Bluetooth setting. See: http://help.clickandpledge.com/custo...uetooth-device

Given you have already paired it please delete the device from your mobile phone's Bluetooth - the OS does not recognize this as it is the Swiper1 app that does all the work.

If you follow the instructions all will work. We have sold over 1000 of these units so far with no issues on any phone. It works easily and flawlessly.

Please try the instructions as was sent with the phone or the link I sent. Let us know if you still have problem.

"Given you have already paired it..."

I did not pair it with anything. I have followed your instructions by turning on the phone's bluetooth and then going directly to the Swiper1 app. Still getting the same error message as stated above.

        Good day!

I was responding to this line:

        2. I attempting to connect iPhone bluetooth (Swiper1-A-200217 shows as choice. Tapping it I get "Pairing Unsuccessful - Swiper1-A-200217 is not supported"

Sorry but I thought, based on the above, you have used the iPhone's bluetooth device pairing outside Swiper1. Our Swiper1 team will follow up in this post.

jeffmcguire11 Did you make sure to allow all requested permissions when you installed the Swiper1 app? If not, uninstall the app and re-install it accepting all requested access. Then try setting the Swipe1-BT in the Device Manager again. If that doesn't work, please send me the version of iOS running on your phone so we can troubleshoot further.

Arrgh The answer is that you need to scroll down to see the "available devices"
There is nothing on the screen that indicates that you are required to scroll down. Showing a picture of the bluetooth device with a radio selector button and a Save Changes button is misleading

To see this in action a second time, I also obtained a new Samsung Tab A. You would think that with more real estate on the screen, one would not have to scroll down, but with one flick of a finger, you reveal a tiny line that says "Available Swiper1 Bluetooth Devices."

jeffmcguire11 I thought you indicated that you had selected the device from the "Available Bluetooth Devices" section. I am sorry for misunderstanding. I am glad that you solved the issue though. I will look at the current instructions to make sure that the wording and screen shots in the included booklet are clear on the need to select the Swiper1 you want to use from the list.

                Thanks

I believe a change in how the interface looks would be more effective (ie. Have the "Available Bluetooth Devices" at the top of the screen instead)
