  • Will a Swiper1-III device work on a Fifth Generation IPad?

My office is considering investing in a new IPad to use for Swiper1 transactions, but I don't see the latest (5th generation) IPad listed on the guide to compatible devices. Will it work with the swiper device?

    Thanks!

    Good day @mgallogly

As of now the Swiper1 device doesn't support iOS version 10 & 11. It is under development. However, you may use the scan feature instead Swipe which works flawlessly.

    Hope that helps.

In response to the statement above, the scan feature apparently did not work flawlessly. That feature was removed (at least from Android) in an update last week. Although we had not gone into production yet, my Swiper1 app was reset to zero after the update. All of my products and Q&Ts and settings were erased. Unfortunately, I had not used the Backup and Restore feature yet as I was just testing the transactions. But I was really surprised that an app store update could actually reset everything. : (
