  • Event: Won't accept AmEx or let me add custom payment options

    Hi there,

    I'm trying to run a test transaction with an AmEx card, and it says AmEx cards are not supported. Nor will it let me select any of the "other" payment options.
    I've configured both in the swiper app (merchant profile - payment types) and the Event Management tab in Salesforce (Events - SPARK 2017 - Basic Info - C&P account - bottom item) as the manuals describe, so it should accept both. I've synched the app with Salesforce again, too.

      Nope, same error message appears so I can't run the card.

      ETA: I just checked and it will let me use the AmEx card to make a regular transaction, just not to run any items for my event.

              Sure! Here ya go:

              Phone details:
              1. iPhone 6s, 125gb (model MKT52LL/A) running OS 10.3.3, on wifi and on cellular (Verizon),
              2. iPad Pro 12.9" (model ML3Q2LL/A) running OS 10.3.3, on wifi & cellular (Verizon)

              Swiper version #: Swiper 1-II (I think - attached a pic cus I don't know how to find any more identifying info)
              App Version #: 8.001.005 (released June 30 '17)

              is that everything?

              Also tried: entering the info manually; trying on different devices; force closing the app; turning phone and ipad off and on; setting settings up from scratch again; deleting and re-installing the app from the app store;
              Mic & location access is 'allowed'; swiper is definitely all-the-way plugged in; other types of card work fine.

                We have investigated and identified the issue in iPhone with AmEx card. It will be addressed in the next release which is hopefully will be out in this week.

                    Yes, it has been fixed and released. Please upgrade to the latest version of Swiper1 from App-Store and test it.
