    No. We cleaned the headphone port, but still had very intermittent success on some devices. We just found devices that worked and didn't use other devices.

    Rachel, did you ever figure out what the problem was? We are having the same issue with all 3 of our Swipers.

    Swiper working very intermittently

    I have the Swiper set up and have used it on my iPhone before. I have the volume turned all the way up and am swiping the card in the correct direction. It is only recognizing that I'm swiping a small percentage of the time. It eventually gives me a "timeout" message. Maybe 1 in 10 swipes I can get it to read the card and then it processes the transaction correctly. What can I do to make this more reliable? I cannot use it at an event with this level of reliability.
