We are receiving proceeds from another organization's auction in exchange for processing the payments. We will be using Swiper1. Do we need to assign a campaign in SalesForce, or set up an event in C&P Event Management, or can we simply process payments on a Swiper1 that is set up with our C&P account? What is the simplest way to do this?

Good day @Tim,
Swiper1 is totally independent of Salesforce. If you have Salesforce it posts to Salesforce and also allows you to lookup contacts in Salesforce.
You may simply process transactions without any Salesforce considerations.
If you wish to assign a campaign you may do so in the Swiper1 settings. If the campaign name does not exist in Salesforce it will be automatically created.
