  • Mobile Donation Confirmation

    When donors submit a donation from their smartphones using the mobile donation page, they are not taken to a confirmation page that their donation was accepted, confirmed, processed or whatever.

    Is there a way to configure the donation page such that after a donation is submitted, the donor is take to a thank you page, so that they know that their donation was processed?

    I did not see how to do this, but hope it is available because several of my testers asked about it and one person actually submitted their donation twice thinking that the first time it did not go through.

    They all received the email confirmation a short time later, but this was not adequate to confirm their donation was accepted at the time they made it.

    Good day!

    We have tested this and it actually goes to an approval page.

    What phone & browser have you seen this in?

    Test it using your desktop browser and you will see the approval page. Here is an example: http://association.demo.clickandpledge.mobi/

    Use the 4111111111111111 and 123 as CV2 and any future date for expiration. You will see the authorization page.

    Let me know what type of phone and browser is being used so we can test it.

      I've asked the people who experienced this to let me know what type of smart phone and browser they used.

      They used their bar code scanner to click on a QR code, so they did not type in an actual web page. The QR code took them directly to the donation page and not to the mobile home page.

      When I manage my mobile pages the donation page shows up as Test (visible) on the list, but when I modify the page it the radio button Active(visible) is checked.

      Would any of these things cause the confirmation page to not appear.

      Everyone did receive the email confirmation for the donation

          I tried it again, just for $1.00, when I hit Process Payment, it processed the payment (email confirming) and the screen appeared ready to process another payment—no confirmation.

          I put in my information and instead of hitting process payment, hit “click and pledge” but that did nothing.

          I just tried the QR code and received a reply that the page was not available (after my phone locked up when I was trying to test it again myself).

          Also another user tried twice a few minutes ago and his donation was declined.

            One of the donors who used a Google/IPhone used the test you described and did not receive a confirmation from the test website.

                Here is a response from another user.

                I used my iPhone and the "QRCode" free app on my phone (from TapMedia). I didn't notice it open the Safari browser on my phone, but that's the only internet browser I have on the phone.

                Two of the users used iPhones.

                  We are testing with all these browsers and get back to you. The payment page is an iFrame and we are researching if old browser have issue with the iFrame in a mobile environment.

                  Please note that this platform has been in operation for several years and not many issues have been reported. The platform has been continually upgraded to match the specifications of modern browsers.

                  We will review your page and site to see if anything about your account is causing these issues.

                    Here is another phone that did not show a confirmation page.

                    The phone is an HTC EVO - 4 I think. Not sure about the browser. I just have whatever was pre-installed but it isn't identified by name.

                      Did you ever get this resolved? We are having a similar issue. If I run a test transaction on the PC, all works as it should. But trying it on ipad and iphone results in no transaction and no confirmation screen.

                        We are testing all mobile browsers and determining what changes may have occurred with the latest iOS updates.

                          Thank you. Yesterday I turned switched our mobile payment form to Active and took it out of test mode (thinking test mode might be part of the problem). My tester made a $10 donation on an iphone 5S. She did NOT get the confirmation screen so it appeared as though her donation did not go through. However she did get an emailed receipt a minute later, so in reality it DID go through. This is very confusing to the user. Thanks for helping troubleshoot the problem.

                            I noticed this post is a few months old. Was this issue ever resolved? I'm setting up a new mobile donation page and I want to be sure this bug has been worked out by Click & Pledge developers before launching. I know I could use the Connect platform but I don't want Click & Pledge's logo to be so prominent on my donation form. I'm not even sure the Connect platform is mobile friendly (does anyone know this?). I want an easy way for my donors to donate from their phone.

                              Good day @Shari,

                              This issue was resolved a long time ago and it was based on updated mobile browsers and an update that had to be made to the JQuery library.

                              Connect is responsive and works fine with mobile.
