Donation receipt — dynamically display different info for one-time & recurring gifts

For an upcoming live event, we're customizing the C&P donation receipt:

One-time gifts should see info about today's gift.

Recurring donors should in addition get this info: {Amount} to be charged every {periodicity} for {periods}. Your next payment will occur on {nextpaymentdate}

Can that be done in C&P?

Yes, that is what precisely our receipts do. For one-time transactions, it displays only today's gift information and for recurring it includes the recurring information with the amount, periodicity, and next charge date as shown in the below image:

Please note that, if you are using a customized receipt, please drag the Recurring Info element to the receipt so that it will dynamically pull the information if it is a recurring transaction.
