'Become a Fundraiser' button not being removed from site

As I understand it, if the Accept Fundraisers checkbox is unchecked in Connect on the Fundraisers and Teams > Settings & Messaging page, then the Become a Fundraiser button should be removed from Peer-to-Peer sites. We have it unchecked and the button is still there. Please advise. Thank you.

If you have unchecked the Accept Fundraisers then it won't accept the fundraisers. When the patron clicks on that button, it will show the message as shown in the below image:



If you want to remove the "Become a Fundraiser" button then you will need to edit the Peer-to-Peer site template and remove it from there as shown in the below images:



Once you are in Edit mode of the site template, hover the mouse over the widget and you will get an option to remove the Widget:

That makes total sense. Don't know why I had it in my head that it was a setting that would affect the site template and not something to edit in the site template. This is resolved. Thanks again.
