  • Salesforce Temporary Contacts error

    One of our SF users is suddenly not able to use Temporary Contact features in the Salesforce C&P app. She gets this error:


    'Insufficient privileges - CREATE: CnP_PaaS__CnP_Transaction__c.CnP_PaaS__Case__c'

    This uses has the 'PS-CnP-PaaS-All-Permissions' permission set, and has been able to use this feature for years, but all the sudden it is not working. It may have started after the most recent C&P app upgrade.

    Any suggestions?

    Good day @lmacarthur

    Please make sure that the user who is settling the temporary contacts has the following permissions:
    • Field-Level Security set as Visible to the Opportunity objects standard fields i.e. Account Name, Amount, Lead Source, Primary Campaign Source, & Quantity
    • Campaign creation permission needed for the user. (for assigning these permissions goto Profile > Edit > Standard Object Permissions > Campaigns > check Read and Create permissions.) Note: Check the "Marketing User" checkbox on the user details page.
    • Case creation permission needed for the user. (for assigning these permissions go to Profile > Edit > Standard Object Permissions > Case > check Read and Create permissions.)

    Please share the user names who are facing an issue so that we can fix it for you.
