  • Receipt elements not working

    The receipt builder seems to be really finicky when updating the dynamic elements in the layout. I tried to add a line for the "Additional Fee", and now see that a bunch of elements don't work anymore. Getting rid of the field doesn't make the receipt work again either. The screenshot below should at least show the quantity and Total fields.

      Whatever you did made it work again. We're testing different layouts right now, and on the layout dk_test-simplify, it isn't showing the price element. What are we doing to make these fields stop working?

        Would you please remove the price element and add it back and check if that works?

          That worked. However, now we're seeing that the additional fee is getting added as a regular item on the sale. I also tried using the {AdditionalFee} element in the receipt layout and got no results. You can see this by looking at the template Receipt_JonTest. Transaction number is 61274-2104261320512097386.

          The screenshot shows a sale with a $1 and $.04 fee. We want the fee on a separate line and labeled, instead of being grouped with every donation item.

            It looks like you are adding the text as {AdditionalFee} and expecting to pull the information. Please note that the additional fee element is the part of the Item list which is only visible if you drag the Item element.

              Okay. I think we got it now. Thanks. One problem is that the additional fee seems like a normal item type. Is there a way to tell Salesforce to not make an opportunity for them?

                Sorry, it is not possible. In Connect the "Additional fee" is an item. The "Additional Fee" coming in Salesforce is not an optional opportunity but a separate line item resulting in a separate opportunity, by design.

                  I'm also having receipt issues. When i edit the receipt text all of the capital letters are changing to lowercase!! strangest error I've encountered in a while. Is this a known issue? Once i fix it it seems to hold but i am having to update about a dozen receipts because our Dev Director left and this is really icky and time consuming.                     We reviewed your account and updated the receipt with capital letters and the changes remain. We are unable to replicate the issue. Would you please share the specific receipt name you are seeing an issue with?
