  • Japan Credit Bureau (JCB) card not accepted?

    Hi - I am trying to process a donation with a JCB card via manual entry, and I'm getting the error code 2111 and "card type not currently accepted." My internet digging (and other clues) has led me to believe that this is a JCB card and also that JCB cards are typically accepted where Discover is accepted. Is there some additional setup that I need to do to accept this type of card?

    Please note that we do not use JCB anymore. It was removed when we switched to Propay because it was rarely being used.

      Thank you for the information, @CnP.Support.AM. And just to confirm - there is no way to enable our account to accept JCB, since this is across all of C&P?

        Hi annieleblanc ,
        While Propay does not support JCB as a payment method, we are aware that Discover can process JCB.

        We'd like to review to verify that our validation is not interfering with Discover potentially processing JCB. Could you let us know the first 4 digits of the card number, and confirm that you were running the transaction in CONNECT Virtual Terminal?

          That was my understanding as well! The first 4 digits are 3541 and I was indeed using the CONNECT Virtual Terminal.

            We have reviewed the situation and are testing an update that should allow JCB transactions to be processed via Discover, provided Discover is enabled for your account. We hope to have this release available next week.
