  • Bipass Household Account Creation with Custom Questions or SKU or?

Hi I have a Connect Payment form that is asking people who work for an organization to sign up for trainings. The credit card they use will be a work credit card most likely and not their personal cards. When the opportunities are created in Salesforce the Account Name for the Oppt defaults to the Household Account of the person who just filled out the form. And the Billing Address info is added to the household, which is incorrect - it is their work address.

    Is there a way to
    1) not sync billing information to the Household Account or at all into Salesforce and only sync names Oppt fields?
    or
    2) change the way data flows in for certain forms?

Maybe all responses from THIS form can go to temporary contact?

    thanks for any guidance.
    Sarah

Use the SKU to update the Record Type on the Account to Organization.

Take a look at our Donor Management and NPSP article to get a better understanding of setting up for a Organization/Group donations.

Take a look at our Power of SKU article. Once you understand how NPSP knows when an account is an Organization account instead of a Household Account (the Account Record Type is different), you can set up the transaction to record the way that Salesforce/NPSP need to see it.

There are nuances to what you are doing, so if you don't feel like you understand what would be happening after reviewing the articles, join Live Support Thursday afternoon, and I'll walk you through it.
