  • How to set what org name shows up on donors' bank statements?

    Hey there,

    So I wondered where the setting lives that dictates what org name shows up on donors' bank statements, next to the charge of the amount donated?

    We've always believed our org shows up as "TLC" on bank statements (and that's what it says on our transaction receipts), but a donor just wrote yesterday to tell us it actually shows up as "Transgender Law Center". Abbreviating it to the acronym version is important for confidentiality for us and our clients, so I do need to fix this as soon as possible.

    Can you tell me where on the Connect platform I can specify what the charge should show up as on donors' bank statements? Or is this something C&P support needs to do back-end?

    Good day jackdunn

    The "Name on Card" is what is set up by the gateway. You will need to contact Propay to make this type of changes as they are the ones that put the name on card on the statement. This is not a feature we have any control over.

      Ah thanks for such a prompt reply. How would I go about contacting Propay / can you point me in the direction of their contact info? I've been using C&P for about 4 years now and this is the first I've heard of them!

        Hello:

        May I get the Click & Pledge account number please? I'll be happy to reach out to our banking partner to get this updated. I'm seeing two accounts and wanted to make sure it is only one account that needs updated and not both.

          Hi,
          Yes of course - if you could update both accounts, actually, that would be great. They both can just show as "TLC". Accounts #24461 and #31410.
