Issue with Issuing Credit for a transaction

How do I refund someone's transactions if their credit card is expired? The usual "issue credit" button is not there in the virtual terminal.

We reviewed and noticed that the above transaction has been processed from Events. You may issue the credit within the Event itself. Please see:

I tried it but then it said:

Error:

Sorry but the credit card has expired. Transactions may only be credited back to valid credit cards.

I have forwarded it to our developers to review the case for issuing credit in case of an expired credit card in Salesforce. However, there are NO issues with issuing credit to the expired credit card from Connect. We have successfully issued credit from Connect for the above respective order number.
