  • How to make the convenience fee on Virtual Terminal Tax Deductible?

Is there a way to make the convenience fee on Virtual Terminal Tax Deductible?
I would love for the total amount charged (donation & convenience fee) to be one opportunity versus 2 separate transactions.

or do I need to create an "additional fee" instead?

    Good day @Monique

No, it is not possible to consider the "convenience fee" as tax-deductible. The tax-deductible amount calculates as Product/Item Price.

Yes, you may go with Additional Fee by adding the item and named it as Additional Fee in Virtual Terminal but this will create an opportunity since it is a line item.

      ok, thanks.
For others, I came up with this workaround... changing the donation amount to include the convenience fee keeps it as one line item & one opportunity.
