C&P Replicating Contacts

  • C&P Replicating Contacts

    My Salesforce org has a couple of contacts that are being replicated by a user account with C&P permissions. (400+ duplicates of the same record were created.) I have a Case with Salesforce Support where we were able to confirm that this behavior is related to that user record having C&P permissions. When we remove C&P permissions from that user, the duplicates stop. When we restore the permissions, they start again.

    Would you please help troubleshoot and solve this issue?

    Salesforce instance ID: 00D41000000erCX. Access has been granted for 1 week.

      The username is [email protected]. I have not been able to identify the order number. But the current contact affected is named Elaine Suarez and has 72 duplicates so far.

        We checked and found that the above contact is NOT related to C&P nor we created it.

        However, if you have order number + contact name so that we can review it.

          Can you help me understand then, why removing C&P permission sets from [email protected] would result in the behavior stopping (the replicating of contacts), and why re-assigning the C&P permission sets back to [email protected] results in the behavior starting again?

            Please note that there is nothing in that permission set related to the standard contact objects so it doesn't make any sense. However, in order to investigate further, we need an order number associated with that contact.
