    Leona asked me to create this ticket in the forum.

    We got these C&P donations in Salesforce that had $0 amounts on them.

    Should they be creating $0 opportunities in Salesforce?

    The reason it is creating $0 opportunity in Salesforce because the above transactions are pre-authorized with $0 amount and based on the opportunity creation settings under C&P Settings it will create $0 opportunity in SF.

    However, we noticed that you have updated the credit card details for the following recurring transaction:

    It looks like you reentered the card details 3 times after it declined on 4/14/2018 which is the reason it preauthorized the card. In this case, $0 transaction will be processed in order to tokenize the card and to process the actual amount on the scheduled next payment date. When recurring transaction declines, we do not run a recurring again automatically for the past recurring installment, since you may not want to run it. We have clients that, at times, skip a month to avoid charging the client twice in a given month.

    As you can see in the above image, the Next Payment Date is the past date, you will need to charge the card manually for past installments OR in case if you don't want to charge the card for the past installments, you may change the next installment date to any future date by editing the recurring transaction (see below) once the Next Installment Date is the future date, the system will charge them automatically from there until the goal reach.

      Good morning. We'd like to restart the recurring gift again, but not charge for the back months. Following your instructions above, I tried to change the next installment date to a current date, but the field seems to be read only, it won't allow me to change to a date in October. How can we do that?

        First, you will need to select the month (click on May 2018) and then the date. For the past dates, the selection is disabled.
