  • Embedding online donation page

We gave our iframe code (which we pulled from our Click & Pledge account) to our website person. She said she tried but was unsuccessful embedding the iframe code.

Is there a Salesforce plugin she needs? some steps she needs to take? Our site is https could this be part of the reason the code didn't work? guidance is much appreciated. We are on a serious time crunch. We need to get our online donation page live and embedded on our website ASAP.

    thank you!!

The donation page link: https://connect.clickandpledge.com/w...b-876052bd0db1 and this is where we want to embed it: https://www.greenteamscanada.ca/support/donate/

I'm happy for someone to go into the backend of our website and help us figure it out.

while I'm here two more quick questions:

      1) If someone clicks "corporate or organization", a box shows up requiring name of the corporation/organization. The Canada Revenue Agency does not require a first name, middle initial or last name in this case scenario. The charitable receipt is issued to the name of the corporation/org. Is there an option to remove first name, middle initial and last name in the donation and contact information bit?

      2) When we created the field Donation Type, we were required to include text - so we added "is this a personal or corporate/organization donation?"; however, our preference is to have no text at all (it makes more sense and shorter to have "Donation Type" and then the two options of personal and corporate or organization) is this possible?

        Dear Lyda

Please post the questions in their appropriate channels. This is related to Connect and should not be the OTHER category of integration.

We truly (TRULY) appreciate if you can help us as it truly makes it hard (did I say truly 3 times already) for our team to answer the question. I will move this to the appropriate channel.

I looked through all your forums and it isn't obvious to me where to post these questions. I saw a question about embedding here in integration.. so that is where I posted it. Confusing. I'm not a techie I don't know what most of the terms used as forum headings mean. It's a foreign language to me. Muddling through best I can!

            Lyda

I truly understand and sorry for the confusion. The issue is too many products and too many channels.

In general - if your issue is Connect use the Connect channel.

If Salesforce then in the Salesforce..

We have other 3rd party applications and the integration is for such apps as WooCommerce, GravityForm, etc.

The challenge we have is your posts, depending on the channel, go to the appropriate teams. The forum works with developers and they receive your post. when you post it to a channel that is not for the product the wrong team is notified and they have to forward it to the right team. It simply delays the response.

Glad to see things are moving.. the right person will respond to you.

I assume Connect is the online donation page we're trying to embed? So I got that question in the right section? It's the other two questions that needed to go somewhere else?

                Good day @Lyda

We reviewed your website and didn't find the iFrame code on the page you are referring to. Please place the iFrame code in your website and let us know so that we can debug the issue.

In order to pull the correct code for your desired form from our Connect platform, we provide two types for form codes, Inline and Overlay. As per your page is designed, we are assuming that you are going to have an inline iframe form on the same page. To pull an inline embedded code, please follow the instructions from this source: http://help.clickandpledge.com/custo...#Inline_Iframe

BTW, it is on the right place now. Regarding the two other questions, I am not sure to which of our products you are referring to. However, in any of our forms/page First Name and Last Name are required fields which cannot be skip. If you please elaborate little more and YES if you post it into the right channel will be great help.

hi, the iFrame code is not on the page I referred to you to because when our web person put it in the backend of our website, it didn't work. It didn't embed. I will ask her to put the iframe code on the website right away (I assume it's going to just show up on our website all wonk?.. or maybe nothing will show up? I have no idea how this all works). I expect she will do so soon (later today): Please look at it to debug: https://www.greenteamscanada.ca/support/donate/ . If this doesn't get sorted out today, could I just set up a moment tomorrow (I'll be around all day) where one of you gets into our website backend and debug that way? It's urgent this online donation page goes up - our window is closing.

                    Good day @Lyda

We reviewed and noticed that you have created your own iframe on your website instead of using the inline iframe code generated in Connect.

Please ask your web person to replace the iFrame code with the below inline code as shown in the below image:

Name:	inline code.jpg
Views:	129
Size:	167.0 KB
ID:	36686

Please ask your web person to review the Inline Iframe on this KB Article: http://help.clickandpledge.com/custo...#Inline_Iframe

It is just a matter of copy/paste the above code in right place on website. It is very simple that a beginner can do it.

                    Hope that helps.

Is this what the embedded online donation page typically looks like: https://www.greenteamscanada.ca/support/donate/

                        Good day @Lyda

May I know, from where you have taken the iFrame code?

We noticed that the iFrame is not from where I have mentioned in my last post. The iframe code doesn't have auto height included.

Please ask your web person to follow below steps to pull the correct iFrame inline code and place it into your website:

Login to Connect >> Campaigns >> click on respective Campaign >> Form Builder >> click on Get Code button on the form and click on inline code:

Name:	Form1.jpg
Views:	138
Size:	111.5 KB
ID:	36801

Please let them place the correct code and let us know so that we can review it.

hi, I was going to ask you how to change it so a donor didn't have to scroll!! .. I have followed your instructions and put the new iframe code (I have access to our website and can make changes in the backend)
