How to update receipt settings on "older" recurring donations?

I recently created mobile-friendly receipt sin CONNECT that we are using for donations and events. However, recurring donations that were established before I created the new CONNECT receipts are still getting the old receipt template. Is there a way to change this so that "old" recurring donors get the new receipt without canceling and re-establishing their recurring donation?

It is very simple, you need to assign the Receipt which you have created to the Campaign of that Recurring transactions. Once you assigned the custom Receipt to the Campaign, moving forward all installment of that recurring chain will receive the latest receipt.

The problem is that the old recurring donations was setup in the legacy portal and the new receipt was created in CONNECT. Where in Campaign within the legacy portal can I assign a CONNECT receipt?

Ah, in that case we suggest you to wait for new update of Connect which is hopefully out in a month. In the new update, we do have an option to select the receipt you would like to send.
