Can recurring donor receipts be disabled? We would like to manage our communications with recurring donors on a more personal, segmented level.

Sorry, as of now we don't have that option. If "Send Receipt" option is enabled at the time of initial setup of the recurring, it will send the receipt until the goal has been reached(end of the recurring). If you want to stop that, you need to cancel the recurring and set again with that settings.
