  • Error on Connect Form to Salesforce

    We are rolling out the new Connect form, but are getting an error in Salesforce:

    Code:
    Insert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: STRING_TOO_LONG, WID: data value too large: 87b3511b-fbe1-4d03-bda6-6450a1440765 (max length=18): [CnP_PaaS__CheckOutPageId__c]

    The error you are seeing is due to the instance being on an old release. The new forms use a 64 character WID and the old release had only 18 character limit on WID.

    We need to update all your clients as soon as possible.

    If you please send us the Org ID of all your clients and we will have them all updated at a low low price of free. This is the Black Friday special so take advantage of it while you can.

    We will go ahead and update this client now.

          We have upgraded your instance as requested but before we can finish the post-install we need to have the site set up. Please see:

          What is your website address? Please note that once set up this cannot be changed.

          Please create the site OR let us know the organization's website so we can set this up and complete the post-install steps.

          However, as a part of upgrade, it is absolutely important that you re-establish connection between Click & Pledge and Salesforce. With this update C&P Accounts are no longer needed to be added to Salesforce as the connection will automatically add the required information to Salesforce. It is extremely important that you login to the portal & re-establish connection. You may see that your account is already connected but this does not mean the new information has posted to Salesforce. With this release 2 more variables are added to Salesforce with each account and as such it is important that you login and set up the connection again for all your connected accounts.
