We have updated the email on a recurring donation but the donation receipts continue to be sent to the old email. I updated the email through Connect by Managing the Recurring Donation and Editing/Updating the email address. Please advise how to permanently update the email so that all future receipts go to the new email address. The donor is frustrated so this is a priority for us. The attached screenshot shows the date that we updated the email address.

Sorry but the image you have provided is PNG and this forum does not show it in full scale. I only see a thumbnail. Would you please post this as a JPG so we can review?
However, are you referring to API Generic receipt or C&P Autoresponder receipt in Salseforce? Please share the Order number of the recurring transaction which you are referring to.

We resolved this issue yesterday and the recurring now uses the new email. The issue (bug!) was happening when both the credit card and email was being changed prior a payment. We resolved it so it should be fine now.
