The classic checkout page offered an option for the donor to select the number of periods over which to apply the recurring gifts. Is there such an option in the donation widget? if not, how does the donor control the number of recurring gifts? Thank you for your assistance. Claude Kientz

Good day!
Currently the "Connect" widgets offer only the indefinite recurring. Indefinite recurring processes the transactions until the donor requests cancellation.
The optional period will be introduced in an upcoming update with more features.
Hope that answers your question.Regards,

Thank you! This is helpful. I've a follow-up question:
I'm setting up a C&P Designer template for the C&P Autoresponder in Salesforce. I'm adding merge fields to the email such as donor name, donation amount and transaction date. What is the merge field for the frequency selected by the donor (on-time gift or recurring)? Claude Kientz

Good day!
The variable you are referring to are not individually available. The annotation: <@Cnp_OrderItems> will include the recurring information automatically if the payment is recurring. Please see the example below:

Thank you for your prompt response. I don't understand how the "annotation" works. I'm trying to put information in the email response on whether the gift is a one-time gift or a recurring gift. I've attached a screen shot of the template and what I'm trying to do. Thank you for your assistance. Claude Kientz

Good day!
Please note that autoresponder is sent for Recurring or Not Recurring. You cannot set up an autoresponder that goes for both. See the options below:
Autoresponder will go out for Recurring if the recurring checkbox is checked. If that is not checked then the recurring donations will NOT get this autoresponder.
You do not need to add the annotation since if you design an autoresponder that is set for recurring you will know that it is ONLY sent if the transaction is a recurring one.
hope that answers your question.Regards,
