  • Connect questions on customization/Salesforce integration

Hi! I'm loving Connect and exploring it for a client of mine, but there are a couple of things I'd like to know if I can alter/customize:

    1) Hiding the total amount raised - is there a snippet of code I can put in the Code area to do this?
    2) Having campaigns active but not necessarily show up on the main org Connect page - i.e. there would be hidden outreach campaigns that would have the commenting, etc. capabilities but would need to be accessed from the direct campaign URL and not the general org Connect URL
    3) Do these widgets have WIDs? I couldn't find the WID for a widget/campaign (I'd like this for the Salesforce record type integration on Contacts/Accounts)
    4) What are the fraud controls on this like? With the regular forms from C&P you can turn off the fraud control for situations where, for instance, the same browser instance would be accessed again and again. This will happen with this client as they are canvassing. How can I turn off the fraud controls to insure that access isn't denied?

    Thanks so much!

    Good day!

    Replies to your questions:

    1. Hiding the total amount raised - is there a snippet of code I can put in the Code area to do this?
      • REPLY: Currently not an option - will request its addition

    2. Having campaigns active but not necessarily show up on the main org Connect page - i.e. there would be hidden outreach campaigns that would have the commenting, etc. capabilities but would need to be accessed from the direct campaign URL and not the general org Connect URL
      • REPLY: There is a problem with this feature request since the campaign shows up in the fundraiser profile as well. If the campaign is hidden how could a fundraiser raise money for it?

    3. Do these widgets have WIDs? I couldn't find the WID for a widget/campaign (I'd like this for the Salesforce record type integration on Contacts/Accounts)
      • REPLY: Currently you may add a WID is blank (select WID and leave the text box blank) which includes all posts without a WID. We are adding SKU's for this so it can address this request. The SKU's are already included in release 9 for the record type as it has been asked by others as well.

    4. What are the fraud controls on this like? With the regular forms from C&P you can turn off the fraud control for situations where, for instance, the same browser instance would be accessed again and again. This will happen with this client as they are canvassing. How can I turn off the fraud controls to insure that access isn't denied?
      • REPLY: The fraud follows the fraud setting in the Portal > Account Info > 3rd Party > Fraud. You may want to disable fraud to disable fraud for Connect. We will add a more customized solution in a future update.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

      1) thanks! definitely being able to customize the information on the fundraiser and campaign pages like this would be great
      2) the campaign wouldn't be "hidden" exactly, it would just not show up of the organization page. for instance, if i was running a social campaign but didn't want anyone who didn't have the url for the campaign to see it. basically then, if someone went to my org page, they wouldn't see the campaign but if they went to the campaign url they would. does that help clarify?
      3) ok
      4) thanks!
