    How exactly does Connect and Salesforce integrate? How often does it "sync"?

    I am testing a campaign on connect and have included a "Parent Campaign Name" and a "Child Campaign Name," both of which do not exist in Salesforce. But, these and its fundraisers are not appearing in Salesforce.

    Are records only "transferred over" once a donation actually has been made? In other words, if there has not been a donation made, then information, such as the campaign, its fundraisers, etc. do not transfer over to Salesforce?

    Answers to your questions:

    Question: How exactly does Connect and Salesforce integrate? How often does it "sync"?

    REPLY: The connection is in "real-time" and does not sync as it is a real-time post and process.

    Question: I am testing a campaign on connect and have included a "Parent Campaign Name" and a "Child Campaign Name," both of which do not exist in Salesforce. But, these and its fundraisers are not appearing in Salesforce.

    REPLY: Does the transaction show up in Salesforce? Have you checked the C&P Data to see if the XML has posted? Also if the contact is in the Temporary Contact nothing will process. All actions take place when a contact is either matched or created and NOT when it is hanging in the C&P Temporary Contact.

    Question: Are records only "transferred over" once a donation actually has been made? In other words, if there has not been a donation made, then information, such as the campaign, its fundraisers, etc. do not transfer over to Salesforce?

    REPLY: The records transfer in real-time when the contact is either matched or created.

      There is nothing in CP Data or Temporary Contacts. I guess I should clarify that NO donations have been made. There has only been a test campaign created and a test fundraiser for that campaign created, which are not showing up in Salesforce. In the test campaigns Salesforce campaign settings the parent campaign name and child campaign name have been filled out.

        Oh!

        That explains it.

        We only create the campaigns, etc. when a transaction occurs. When a donation comes through a fundraiser then it creates the campaign and posts all related information.

        In the absence of a transaction nothing happens.
