  • Do Connect pages have SKUs?

It's rather time-consuming to set a SKU on every donation level on every form to use for mapping. Is there a way to set a SKU for the whole payment form, vs each of the separate giving levels? Thanks!

    Good day!

SKU by definition is for items not for the basket. SKU for basket is meaningless. SKU refers to the serial number of an item and as such by definition it has to be set for the item.

In Salesforce each item may be set to behave differently, e.g. a different autoresponder, opportunity name, campaign, etc. The GL feature also uses SKU's for each item for allocation of accounting information.

It provides a great deal of flexibility to the system.

Hope that answers the question. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Hi, Thanks. So can we use WIDs for Connect payment forms they way you can for regular Click & Pledge forms? Since Connect campaigns are always fundraisers with donation amounts to a single cause, not a shopping basket situation, using SKUs on each giving amount is rife with chances for typos to significantly affect how opportunities are coded in salesforce, especially if you have a significant number of campaigns/forms. Thanks!

        Good day!

Connect allows you to map the transaction to each campaign. Each Connect campaign payment form has a section for Salesforce Campaign association.

        Have you used that?

Yes, thanks. I was just looking for a passed value that was a little less prone to data entry errors for other automation as needed like workflows and such. Not the end of the world, will just have to train users to QC the SKUs on every form really well. Thanks!
