I am wondering if anyone can help me with How to Void a Transaction before it settles? I am able to find and credit transactions, but pending/unsettled transactions do not show up in my searches.
You don't need to worry about a transaction status and if it has settled or pending. Issue the credit and our system will query the system and void the transaction if it has not settled and credit it if it has settled.
Simply find the transaction and issue credit and the rest is handled automatically.
Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong, but I cannot see the current day's transactions. I am in Virtual Terminal->Credit Transaction and the current day's do not show up in searches.
Please check a day before the transaction was made as well. At times the date & time does not match per bank's records considering the processor is in a different time zone.
You may want to contact support so they can walk you through it.
I was checking the entire week. We had 4 transactions yesterday and none showed up when we searched the week. Today, I can see today's and yesterday's. I'm wondering if this was a glitch that had to do with the end of the month.
I too am wondering about voiding transactions. The Credit Transaction function isn't covered in the help files for the Virtual Terminal process, and two transactions that I am hoping credited back to the customers apparently went through, but can't find that in any report I can run. The two original transactions were settled, and that is all I can find.
The problem I have is what proof do I have that it was successful? An email credit isn't generate that I can see. Is there a report I can run that will show these?

I have the exact same question. Can I run a report that shows credited transactions?
Credit report is the same as a transaction report. The payment status changes to CREDIT. Simply download the transaction report and using Excel filter or sort the Status column. All credits show up as CREDIT.
