  • NEW DONATION creating NEW ORGANIZATION but not creating NEW CONTACTS

    When our new donor donates through click and pledge form our web form, it creates a new organization but not new contacts. Is there a way it creates both when they are new donors?

    Good day Woth,

    Please let us know the answer to the following questions:

    1: What version of PaaS are you currently running? Salesforce Setup > Installed Packages (Please note as of Feb. 2, 2012 the latest version is 4.21 - check latest release).
    2: In C&P Settings what option have you set up for Account Creation
    3: In C&P Settings what option have you set up for Contacts?
    4: Are you using Nonprofit Starter Pack?
    5: In C&P Data is there an error given for one of your transactions? Please click on C&P Data and select one of the transactions. At the bottom of the transaction XML data there is a line titled "Messages". If there is an error it will be listed there.
    6: Do you have any custom fields added to the CONTACT object that is set to be mandatory but has no default values?

    The system should create account & contacts automatically. If Contacts are not being created it is either due to an encountered error or a setting.

      + I am not really sure what you are asking...

      I understand that, I just need you guys to guide us how to have a right settings—because we really didn't change any settings.

        Woth,

        We need to upgrade your package to 4.21. Version upgrade from 3.x to 4.x needs to be done by us and we are currently upgrading all clients as requests come in.

        Please contact support and request upgrade to 4.x.

        Version 4.x has a lot more options and provide a tighter integration with the NPSP. The upgrade is free and the notice was posted on the forum a while back also sent out as a newsletter.

          We need to upgrade your package to 4.21. Version upgrade from 3.x to 4.x needs to be done by us and we are currently upgrading all clients as requests come in.
          +Yes, I have gave them my user id and pw and security code—but haven't seen the upgrade changes yet.
          +Let us know when this is done.

            Good day!

            Your instance was upgraded earlier today to the latest release and all your data was also imported from Click & Pledge to your Salesforce instance.

            We also did a $0.50 test transaction and all posted correctly to your account.
