  • How to stop checkout is asking for CC info for a $0 transaction.

I am "selling" tickets to an event, some of which are free. My patrons who are choosing the free tickets are still being asked for credit card or check information at checkout, which they are naturally not pleased about. How can I fix this so that they aren't asked for this info?

Edit: It is asking for checking acct info, not CC information.

    Dan,

Would you please tell me the WID of your checkout page?

In general if a product is priced as $0 and the basket total is $0 at checkout page the credit card information will NOT show up. The CC fields only show up when there is a balance in the basket. Once I have the WID of the checkout page we can review the page & figure out what is going on.

I corrected my earlier statement. It's not asking for credit card info, but is still asking for checking account info and won't let you complete the transaction without it.

      Thanks for your help.

        Dan,

It is fixed- you did not have invoicing turned on. It is turned on and works.

If you plan to use $0 as a price then you have to allow for invoicing otherwise it has no payment method that can be assigned to it. Test it and let me know.
