  • Checkout pages stuck in cache

When a donor tries to make an online donation and their credit card is declined, the page gets stuck in the browsers cache, so that even after logging off and on again, the decline page comes up instead of the initial donation page. The only way it seem to correct this is this is to clear the browser cache after being declined. Is this supposed to happen, is there a way to correct this? It has happened on multiple computers and I have tested it myself.
The specific page in question is https://co.clickandpledge.com/advanc...spx?wid=119821.

    Good day ndlugajczyk

I am not sure what you mean by "page gets stuck in browsers cache". The page does not cache for anything.

The last transaction we see having posted to your account was by Victor V. at 2:41 p.m.

Please let us know what page on your website is linking to this page. I do not need the actual payment form but the page where you have included this link.

Let me be more specific, someone makes a donation. They get a decline message page. They close their browser. Go back later to that check out page, and get the decline message page. The only way they can try to make another donation is to clear their browser history, including cache, cookies, etc. Otherwise every time they try and go back to that donation page, they will be directed to the decline message page.

        Good day!

Please note that the correct URL to the page you are stating is:

        HTML Code:
        https://co.clickandpledge.com/?wid=xxxxxx
If you see the portal - the link is offered as shown below:

Name:	2016-08-12_15-27-54.jpg
Views:	33
Size:	53.6 KB
ID:	25896

        it shows as:

Name:	2016-08-12_15-27-21.jpg
Views:	33
Size:	36.7 KB
ID:	25897

If you are seeing the final page it means the page is not resetting so it means you have not copied the link as shown above.

Is the above the exact link on your page?

As stated we need to see the link you are using on your actual page- since you are not providing it in your post it is hard for us to see what link you are using.

The only difference is that it states https://co.clickandpledge.com/advanced/default.aspx?wid=119804 in between (where I have bolded and underlined). But that is the way it came up when I was setting up the pages. I have already sent an internal ticket to my web development team to take the "advanced" out of the URL.

Also, I have another issue that is happening to the same accounts, that I didn't think was related before, as I know what the error code means, but it is happening to more than one of my users and I have checked them as they are entering information and I do not see anything happening that would cause the error. The other ticket can be found here. https://forums.clickandpledge.com/fo...=1471290981259

Could these somehow be an account error?

It has been confirmed to me by my web developer that we are using the links as you described above. The URL with the "advanced" is where the link redirects to after someone uses it. The issue is still happening.

              Good day!

Where is the page that this link is in?

If you are seeing the landing page it means you are not hitting the first page and constantly going to the confirmation page.

We need to see the original page where the link is in.

Go to http://www.basismesa.org/annual-teac...493.1471378018. It is the button that says Give Now in the middle of the screen.

                  Good day ndlugajczyk

The link you have is correct and cannot possibly go to the Decline or Authorization page. It simply cannot since the link goes to the core page.

We cannot possibly think of a scenario that clicking on that link can go to a Decline page. The decline page is a separate page on the server and the page you are linked to is the start page, default .aspx

What you have is correct and should work without any issues.
