  • Transaction not showing in SalesForce

I created a recurring payment in C&P. I saw the email receipt sent by the system as soon as the payment was authorized. However, I can't find the transaction in SalesForce no matter where I look and the autoresponder didn't send an email either. When I go to the Connect screen and look at Transactions, it shows buttons "Post to SalesForce", "Charge the Card". When I click on "Post to SalesForce" - I still don't see it in SalesForce. How do I get it to automatically show up in SalesForce ? How do I troubleshoot why the autoresponder is not sending anything ?

    Good day!

We reviewed your account and noticed that there is only TWO test transactions was processed and one of the transaction is sitting in C&P Temporary Contacts to review and process. Once you process the contact from C&P Temporary Contacts the Autoresponder will fire if satisfy the condition.

Please check and let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

    Thanks,
    Regards,

When I wrote, the email, neither of the transactions showed in C&P Temporary Contacts. My impression is that I need to go into the Transactions screen in Connect and manually click buttons to get them to post to SalesForce. Is that true ?

        Good day!

No- that is by no means true.

Click & Pledge posts in real-time to Salesforce. If you account is connected to Salesforce we post in real-time. You may have to allow a little time for the post to finalized but in our experience it has never exceeded 1 minute.

It posts in real time. You do not need to push from Connect.

Please let us know if we can be of more help.

Something must have changed overnight then. It wasn't working yesterday and now it is. I'd like to know what it was, so I can fix it next time. Any idea what might have changed ?

            Good day!

No - since we show that there is really no lag time as transactions are posted almost instantly. When a transaction is processed it is placed in a queue and the integration service processes them one by one in the queue. The posting time is less than a second so the queue is usually about a handful. For example right now I checked and there are 10 in the queue and they leave instantly.

Perhaps it was in your instance. Is this a production or Sandbox?

                Good day BobD

Sandbox is not as reliable. We have seen this over & over again that Sandbox services & listeners are not as reliable as production. We are not sure why but this is our experience.

The Sandbox is truly for looking around and testing things and not for production deployment.

We have clients that process thousands of transactions on a daily basis and all post to their Salesforce instance in real-time. For those that have a lot of transactions we had to change our system to delay each post by 5 seconds to allow their custom code to catch up.

                Hope that answers your question.
