Last night I performed a credit transaction (refund) but did not receive any notification email for it. Is this process supposed to send me a notification receipt?

Good day.
By default no emails are sent for credit transactions. If you want you can set up an autoresponder or in Connect you can add the email content when doing the credit.
We do not have a "default" message since it is best if organizations customize the message as needed.
